Women do much more. There is no doubt about that. We balance the needs of our families, our partner, and career in addition to battling the pressures and prejudices of the society. To be able to do that, we need to ensure good health and fitness. When we have children and so many other responsibilities to take care of, it is hard to put yourself number 1, but you should take some time out for just yourself. And in that time, remember to work on yourself. To ensure that strong women like you or women you know can exercise anywhere, anytime for their physical and mental wellbeing, we are offering a discount for everyone on One Pass to India’s Largest Fitness Network.

5 Tips for Women Health

  1. Have a Hearty Breakfast

Have a Hearty Breakfast

This women’s day, promise yourself that you will never miss the most important meal of the day. When you cook for your children, partner, and family, why not yourself? Breakfast sets the tone for the day and provides the energy you need to win the meetings and sales pitches. Not only that, it is also important for your metabolism; if you do not start your day with a solid meal, you will feel sluggish throughout. All you need is 15 extra minutes and that’s the first step to a happy life.

  1. Exercise

Exercise

It would be ideal to get in a workout before you start your daily activities of the day. If you do it, you will have another reason to start your day early and have a good breakfast. But if you think you will have to compromise on your sleep or responsibilities, you can work out anytime during the way. It is important to get at least 30 minutes of exercise 4 days every week to maintain a good body mass index (BMI) and heart health. Go out for brisk walking, bicycling, jogging, etc. or attend dance classes for your health. And going out for groceries is much better for health than ordering them online. That doesn’t mean that you can’t ask/send your man to do it or help you with it at least.

  1. Eat Healthy Instead of “Dieting”

Eat Healthy Instead of Dieting

Dieting means different things to different people but in the broadest sense it means cutting down on calories to lose weight. Losing weight is not just about eating less; it is about eating the right foods to provide the essential nutrients to the body. You need to exercise as well but that may not be of much use if you do not get the right number of vitamins and minerals from your diet. Eat as many natural foods as possible. Include veggies, fruits, whole grains, lean meats, low-fat dairy and seeds and nuts for fats in your meals. Remember that the calcium requirements are higher in case of women. Therefore, add grains, leafy greens, cabbage, dairy products, tofu, etc. to your diet for strong bones and teeth.

  1. Learn to Say “No”

Learn to Say No

To yourself as well as others. Do not do everything for others and don’t be the go-to person for everyone. You will just tire yourself out for nothing and people won’t even be pleased. For example, learn to say no to something when you must go to the gym. Strike a balance between personal and professional life.

Also, learn to say no to stress. It DOES work that way; you just tell yourself that you will not stress over anything on a particular day. Do not compromise on unwinding as it will only make you feel bad about yourself. Go for that Yoga class on a Saturday instead of doing chores or working.

  1. Be Punctual with Health Checkups

Be Punctual with Health Checkups

One of the most stupid things we do is seeing the doctor only when we are sick. Regular checkups help you identify your issues before they turn into diseases, which is pretty great for you in the long run. Some major health issues can be avoided if you remember to see your doctor once or twice a year. Ask the doctor for supplements because it is a common need these days.
