Dumbbells can give you a great full body workout and are ever preferred for certain exercises by some. For each body part, there is a wide variety of dumbbell movements that can be performed, some barbell movements can also easily be adapted and tweaked slightly to be performed with dumbbells.

Using dumbbells allows you to train one side of your body at a time, which is great for curing any strength imbalances you have developed. And because each limb moves independently, your core has to brace harder to prevent you from tipping to one side.

Chest Workout

Building the chest of your dreams shouldn't be treated like rocket science overly complicated with a chance of blowing up in your face. As it is the biggest part of your body everyone wants his chest to look big and in a good shape. The best dumbbell exercises for the chest is dumbbell Bench Press, Dumbbell Flyes single hand bench or fly. There are many more in which you can add in your workout.

Shoulder Workout

There are many exercises with dumbbells for shoulders, except for a few most shoulder exercises are done with a dumbbell. There is dumbbell overhead press, dumbbell military press, dumbbell lateral raises, dumbbell front raises and combinations of all of these.

Arm Workouts (Biceps and Triceps Workout)

For arms, there are many movements that can work, but you can stick to basic unilateral dumbbell curls and skull crushers.

Back Workout

There are many back movements that can be done with dumbbells, some of them such as unilateral deadlifts and Romanian deadlifts also work the legs. Including the deadlifts, there are dumbbell rows as well. Both are very powerful back exercises that you would do well to implement into your training.

Glutes Workout (Butt)

Deadlifts, Squats, and Leg Raises Squats can be done with the dumbbell weight, but the way to hold them depends on the preference of the user. As leg raises don’t need a dumbbell, but you could probably finesse it if you wanted to, if you have a cable machine anywhere they can be done with this as well.

Leg Workout

Dumbbell squats and calf raises are the best you have for your legs, they work and are pretty. You can find the result within some months.

For all of these exercises make sure you know what you are doing and also have good form, because once the weights begin to add up this will suddenly become much more important also to stick with dumbbell exercises to get the best results.
