Yoga has many mental as well as physical benefits. Doing yoga asanas improves flexibility, builds strength, tones the muscles, and improves breathing. Yoga calms the mind by reducing stress and increases self-confidence.
How often should I practice Yoga?

Can I eat before a Yoga class?
Ideally, you should practice Yoga on an empty stomach. If you have a Yoga class later in the day, you should eat something light 1-2 hours before the class, otherwise, you won’t be able to perform the asana properly.

Yoga can broadly be classified into 9 types, out of which Hatha Yoga is the best for beginners. Other types such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Power Yoga are more challenging and should be taken up after a certain level of proficiency is achieved.
